How To Prepare For an NDIS Plan Review?

An NDIS plan review is an excellent chance to review what's working (and what's not) for a participant in terms of assistance withself-care activities in Australia. The NDIS schedules a review meeting nearing the plan end date and checks how it's been going and whether or not any cases have changed.

The review meeting is an informal discussion about the participant's improvement toward their goals. The entire process may take a few months to complete, depending on when in the year your review falls, so it's essential to be patient and prepared for it.

Over time, NDIS participants' needs change, especially regarding assistance with self-care activities in Australia. Therefore after 12 months, every participant undergoes an NDIS plan review.

Preparing For Your NDIS Plan Review

Here are top tips to remember for what to look out for when you're ready to review the plan.

Collect All Documentation

Compile progress reports, quotes and supporting documentation about six to eight weeks before your review. If you have a Support Coordinator, they should do that for you.

It's essential to bring a list of equipment or assistive technology you think you might need. It is often something that people forget. Another plan review will be conducted if it's not included.

Review And Update Goals Regularly

Often, goals get overlooked, or you refer back to old plans that aren't relevant anymore. Add any new goals that you've liked. It might be something you want to achieve, but add the smaller steps you need to take to move you closer to achieving that bigger goal.

List Out Every Support Service You Use

Documenting all the support you receive can make the plan review process considerably smoother. From your mainstream supports like your GP and education provider to any informal supports like extended family, friends and neighbours. But most importantly, make a list of all your current providers that you're using and whether or not you want to continue using those providers anymore.

Jot Down Any Questions

As you get closer to your review, note down any questions regarding the plan, goals or funding. The review meeting is your prospect to ensure you're getting the proper support, so don't b, such as support coordination or assistance with self-care activities in Australia, etc. So, don't be e afraid to ask lots of questions.
